    Beta Asus RT-AX89X_9.0.0.4_388_31185 Beta

Nothing in your message shows that. The fact that it came from a reply to your request would actually indicate the opposite. Given your support "request", I assume English is not your first language so you may be reading something incorrectly in the replies. Also, again, I suggest you read...

    Beta Asus RT-AX89X_9.0.0.4_388_31185 Beta

What exactly do you think is "urgent" in this thread you linked to? If it is a question about having received the beta firmware when you replied to Asus, that information is already discussed in this thread which you should probably read, with whatever urgency you feel appropriate.

    Beta Asus RT-AX89X_9.0.0.4_388_31185 Beta

Don't have an issue with my SFP+ port though it is running to the LAN. Have you tried switching the WAN to the RJ45 port and/or do you have a different transceiver to try to see if that is the cause?

    Beta Asus RT-AX89X_9.0.0.4_388_31185 Beta

Is this with the latest beta? If it is with the stock firmware, then you will want to create a different thread. If it is with the current beta, and you have a way to repro (from a Windows system) I could try. I get over 5 gbit up and down for TCP (on speedtest) so I don't have an ISP...

    Beta Asus RT-AX89X_9.0.0.4_388_31185 Beta

Fan is ~1900 for me as well on RT-AX89U_9.0.0.4_388_32100. No issues.

    Beta Asus RT-AX89X_9.0.0.4_388_31185 Beta

To clarify, the spinning around effect wasn't constantly spinning, it was just looping around the bottom somehow. But I just went in to re-check the looping behavior and not only am I no longer seeing it, the download and upload numbers are no longer reversed in their reporting. No idea what...

    Beta Asus RT-AX89X_9.0.0.4_388_31185 Beta

If you have way to provide feedback to the dev, I just noticed on the latest firmware is showing the Upload and Download bandwidth dials in Adaptive QoS Bandwidth Monitor with the opposite information. Also the Upload Bandwidth dial (actually download) keeps spinning all the way around.

RT-AX89X suddenly started using a lot more CPU and memory leak leads to lockup every ~10mins

Likely just a website bug. Went there once and it went to the blank page, went back in again and it was showing the Oct firmware update. That updated beta that was shared today would probably need to go through some validation steps even if it is done that would take a bit. And since they...

RT-AX89X suddenly started using a lot more CPU and memory leak leads to lockup every ~10mins

Asus is reporting it is fixed now. So folks should be able to reboot and get the correct security definition file that replaces the wonky one. https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2023/05/asus-fixes-error-that-caused-mass-router-outage-worldwide-for-2-days/

RT-AX89X suddenly started using a lot more CPU and memory leak leads to lockup every ~10mins

I'd get the Asus working and keep it as a backup. I had been thinking about getting a backup internet service should one go out, and since the AX89X can do failover WAN, but this is a great reminder that having a backup router from a different manufacturer is just as important if you need that...

RT-AX89X suddenly started using a lot more CPU and memory leak leads to lockup every ~10mins

Aside from an update firmware that prevents the issue, deleting that file is the only thing that has been reported to consistantly work. Doing a factory reset, not a hard reset, was one of the first things many people tried, and it didn't work for us as the bad file remained.

RT-AX89X suddenly started using a lot more CPU and memory leak leads to lockup every ~10mins

No, the first thing you should do is see if deleting the problematic file resolves the issue: https://www.snbforums.com/threads/rt-ax89x-suddenly-started-using-a-lot-more-cpu-and-memory-leak-leads-to-lockup-every-10mins.85018/post-842138

    Beta Asus RT-AX89X_9.0.0.4_388_31185 Beta

Support sent someone that same file, adding to the legitimacy: https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-routers/rt-ax89x-going-out-of-memory-every-10-minutes-asd-process/m-p/930501/highlight/true#M5415 An Asus tech reached out to me regarding the ticket I submitted and suggested updating to the...

RT-AX89X suddenly started using a lot more CPU and memory leak leads to lockup every ~10mins

Just to be clear for anyone who found this thread because they have the issue with their AX89X, Merlin is NOT an option for the AX89X as it is Qualcomm based and not Broadcom. Merlin is Broadcom based Asus only. Models it is an option for: https://www.asuswrt-merlin.net/

RT-AX89X suddenly started using a lot more CPU and memory leak leads to lockup every ~10mins

For those of you not wanting to try that unofficial beta software, or if you have a different router, some folks are reporting having success with just deleting the file "chknvram20230516", as Somax and Pheonix mention above, which then updates to "chknvram2023518" and then they aren't...
