    So I started having issues again. Tried a bunch of different firmwares including the one from last June. Still buggy. We put in an Arlo door cam yesterday and it was up and down a few times throughout the day which made me start to wonder if the router has some hardware thats going (or gone)...

    Sigh. Yep. Its been buggy for me too. Periodic WAN drops. Periodic drops of the AC-86U node. IPhones & iPads had some drops, AC-86U kept dropping to 2.4, etc. Went back to 6436 also.

    I ran into the WAN issue also. Just power cycled the modem then rebooted the router again and it came back up.

    Thanks for the replies. After rolling them both back around 4 pm yesterday, everything's been working way better. Didn't see any issues at all last night. No dropped connections and speeds are as expected from both the main router and node. Moving between them is pretty seamless too...
