2.4GHz not being distributed on AIMesh node w 10GbE backhaul

I did exactly that. Everything's back up and running now and looking good. Performance is where I was hoping it would be (finally) when I decided to upgrade to this hardware earlier this year. Thanks again for everyone's suggestions!

Solved Cannot add node into AiMesh

I initially did have Merlin on the nodes during the first few times setting up AIMesh. But even after flashing back to latest stock on the two nodes this weekend (as recommended in response to my query in another thread), I was not successful in getting the nodes to join AIMesh via wireless...

Solved Cannot add node into AiMesh

Hate to necro-post, but MissingTwin's instructions are still the only method I can reliably get my two BE7200U nodes to join an AIMesh setup with a BE96U router. Complete system resets/refreshes, having the nodes 2, 5, or 10 feet from the router, you name it, fails 98% of the time. Having now...

2.4GHz not being distributed on AIMesh node w 10GbE backhaul

Thanks for the suggestions. I loaded the latest stock fw (3.0.0.6_102_38152) onto the 10GbE backhauled node and the 2.4GHz radios immediately became visible. I need to do the full reset now, but this is a promising start!

2.4GHz not being distributed on AIMesh node w 10GbE backhaul

Thank you – I definitely was not aware of this and must have completely missed the recommendation! My previous router was the AX89X with an AIMesh AC68U node, so I haven't been able to run Merlin for a few years... This is similar to how I initially setup these nodes, but was using merlin fw...

2.4GHz not being distributed on AIMesh node w 10GbE backhaul

The following is my AIMesh setup: BE96U primary router 2x BE7200U (BE88U) satellite nodes – 1st node is using 10GbE backhaul; 2nd node is using wireless 5GHz backhaul Due to different backhaul configurations, I am unable to choose the universal "Ethernet Backhaul Mode" in the AIMesh System...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.4 is now available

Can't offer a solution / reason behind your experience, but can state that I also have a BE96U on 3006.102.4, and I have thus far had zero issues with a BE7200 (BE88U) connecting via 5GHz backhaul also on 3006.102.4. Rated performance of the AIMesh connection is similar to running 3006.102.4b2...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.3 is now available for WIfi 7 devices

Thanks again. I've taken note. I made some changes earlier to the 5GHz setup mostly to just get me operating at a base level. If things go well from there, I'll work upwards in terms of enabling extra features. I've definitely noted a drop in the wireless backhaul transmission speed with the...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.3 is now available for WIfi 7 devices

I was actually seeing more of the opposite. I noticed a few of these problematic devices on the IoT network (which reside in the same room as the BE96U) connecting to one of the BE7200 nodes rather than the BE96U. And I did previously ensure in the setup of these other networks that all nodes...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.3 is now available for WIfi 7 devices

Only been an hour or so now, but I can already tell that the latency with interaction between 5GHz and the 2.4GHZ IoT networks is drastically reduced. I have some WiFi power strips and it was previously taking many seconds for commands to be received. With these changes, responsiveness is nearly...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.3 is now available for WIfi 7 devices

Thanks for the tip. I too had similar issues with the default 'Kid's' network configuration, and had to resort to using the Customized Network configuration. These additional network setups do seem rather flaky with the default configuration as provided.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.3 is now available for WIfi 7 devices

Thank you! I have applied these settings to see if things improve, and will report back on my experience. I recall now having most of these settings also applied with my previous AX89X setup and similarly in the Orbi (as 1:1 as possible given the differences). Unfortunately, I was unable to...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.3 is now available for WIfi 7 devices

I only have a few devices which support WiFi 7 / 6GHz (and they're just phones), so I'm only enabling WiFi 7 on the 6GHz network at the moment as I don't have a ton of use for it. The main purpose of upgrading to this equipment was to provide a much stronger wireless backhaul to my detached...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.3 is now available for WIfi 7 devices

Really appreciate you following up! To answer your questions: I didn't technically perform a 'factory' reset, but the first thing I did after unboxing these units was to install Merlin 3006.102.3 immediately after going through the most basic of setups with the stock shipping fw. At this point...

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 3006.102.3 is now available for WIfi 7 devices

Thank you for the reply! No, I have not installed any additional packages post Merlin. Was waiting to get everything up and running smoothly on the base code before venturing into that direction. Unfortunately, this whole experience has been rather awful thus far these first few weeks. The IoT...
