    I have 5 RT-AC68U's in a mesh. They are all connected by ethernet backhaul - no wireless. Frequently (at least once a week) all nodes stop working and are shown as offline in the AiMesh node list.     Thanks OE - some useful ideas there. I'll try that out. The 4G router is because my internet is via a 4G SIM card. If i turn it off I won't have any internet. I have the Wifi analyser app. I will do some testing over the weekend. Thanks again for your tips!

    ASUS N66U and AC68U - Dropping WAN only

    Has anyone managed to solve the issue of the WAN connection dropping intermittently? My Asus 4G-AC68U still has this problem. I have replaced the box etc etc but no luck.

    Hi Burnsy - no luck whatsoever. I have ordered a couple of 4G external antennas from AliExpress and will see if installing them helps. Oddly, I don't get the issue with the SIM card in a mobile phone. I'm on box no 5 now and still the same issues. Any ideas from your end?

    Yes, I've tried multiple sims with Jo improvement. And tried the sims in my phune and they work without issue. Hence the question, what could cause the WiFi box to "choke" from time to time?

    Thanks. My router auto configured after I put in the SIM. No further configuration is required. It is running off an APC UPS so the power should be stable. The only issue is that the WAN status comes up as 'disconnected'. Switching off / on WAN or rebooting the device reconnects it...

    Sorry, forgot to answer that. 3 ways... 1. There is a factory default option in the router administration interface 2. There is a small button on the back that needs a paper clip to reset the box. 3. The vendor gave me a new box to try. Didn't help unfortunately.
