    RT-AX88U IPTraffic

Hello All- Just received a new RT-AX88U today and am loving it. I plan to add my AC68U as a mesh node to cover the garage. Anyways, I don't see the IPtraffic settings on the AX88U. I searched through the changelog, but didn't see anything mentioned. Wondering if it just isn't available for this...

A "Sophie's Choice": AiMesh or Merlin?

What route did you end up going with this? How are things working? I'm in a somewhat similar situation. I currently have 1 AC68U on the 2nd story that is covering the whole house. As you can guess, coverage in the basement and edges of the house is lacking. Was thinking about getting an AC86U as...

384.3 release SSL certificate replacement missing

It has been moved to the WAN --> DDNS tab going forward. Asus moved it here to work with the new Let's Encrypt stuff they are doing.

    Log internet connection

Thank you, this worked perfectly. I was trying to do it without using the port 514 setup.

    Log internet connection

Can you give a quick rundown on how you setup the papertrail logging? I set the remote location and port, but no logs seem to be showing up.

    Log internet connection

Check out dslreports.com. They have some tools to do Internet connection monitoring. The only requirement is that you enable ping on your WAN connection. I use this and I can see a nice graph of ping times from 2 different physical locations. They also have some other tools like smokeping. Hope...

[Release] Asuswrt-Merlin 380.65 is now available

I had issues on my AC68U with 380.65_2. CPU Core 1 would go 100% and just stay there. Internet speeds got real slow and/or randomly would not load things. Also had some weird issues with the web interface not showing that it had a WAN IP, DDNS was not working, and the WiFi icon was not lit green...

ddns broken on official 380_3459? Ac87u

I'm getting the same thing. I'm wondering if Asus is having some problems?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 380.59 is now available

Just upgraded my RT-AC68U from 380.58 to 380.59. I did not do an nvram reset yet, but have definitely noticed the very slow loading times for various pages on the router interface. This was not the case with 380.58.

Asus RT-AC68W - Poor performance, even with 378.54

Is the performance slow the whole time or just during the initial attempt to connect to a website?

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.53 is now available

I would say more than just a wireless issue. After going to the Shibby Tomato build I no longer notice the hesitation during web browsing even on a wired ethernet computer. I'm also noticing that things like YouTube, Sling TV, and Netflix now start streaming in HD right away rather than after a...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.53 is now available

As a follow up to my issue.. I installed the stock Asus firmware and did a factory reset. The issue was still present. I then tried installing Shibby Tomato, also did a reset after that was installed. I've only been on this for almost an hour, but the ping and ssh issues are gone. It also seems...

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.53 is now available

I'm also seeing a weird issue on two of my raspberry pi's using wireless. I cannot ssh to them sometimes. I try to ping them and the initial pings all fail and after a bit starts working. After the ping works, I can ssh to them. See below: ping 192.168.5.189 PING 192.168.5.189 (192.168.5.189)...

RT-AC87U - DHCP Hostnames not working

Yeah, I think I would agree with your statement. I'm not necessarily losing Internet connection...probably more just losing connection to the router. Should that be the case? I guess I don't understand why that would happen when just toggling the lock.
