    Asus RT-AC66U issues connecting to 5 ghz band

    I have connection issue with 2.4 ghz for ac66u since FW .188. It frequently disconnects, I solved it by manually select 40mhz and channel 3 for 2.4 ghz. I have HW A1.

    Is there HW A2 version of AC66U? Anybody know what is the difference between HW A1 and A2? Any difference in performance? Mine is HW A1 bought in Aug in Hong Kong.

    Yes. it did improves 2.4 ghz disconnection issue after switch to 40mhz from 20 mhz. How come? Previous fw can select 20 mhz with no problem.
