Level 2 hardware acceleration with new firmware (2021)

@SomeWhereOverTheRainBow @ColinTaylor I'd say it's more likely that my notes were wrong. Maybe I copied it from somewhere and saved it in my notes, having never actually succeeded. I wish I knew. Thanks for the help though!

Level 2 hardware acceleration with new firmware (2021)

Oh, wonderful. I used to be so proud of owning this router, haha. 5 years have gone by fast.

Level 2 hardware acceleration with new firmware (2021)

I see. So instead of it being: I used to be able to get to Level 2, CTF+FA, and now I can't, and I'm trying to It's: When I got to Level 2, CTF+FA in the past, it wasn't actually true. The new 2021 firmware now reports accurately the fact that I can never get there. Yeah? Something like that?

Level 2 hardware acceleration with new firmware (2021)

Well, I used to be able to get to Level 2 before the new 2021 firmware. Maybe I could try setting it manually? Googling seems to show "0" and "2" as being options?

Level 2 hardware acceleration with new firmware (2021)

    When I ran that, I got this: ctf_disable=0 size: 75296 bytes (55776 left) ctf_disable_force=0 ctf_nonat_force=0 ctf_pt_udp=0

Level 2 hardware acceleration with new firmware (2021)

On Tools > Sysinfo, I only see: Which is REALLY confusing. I spent 3 hours Googling the forums and it seems everyone sees stuff here that I don't see? Is it correct that I shouldn't see any details for HW acceleration? It's all been quite confusing, especially when searching the forum.

Level 2 hardware acceleration with new firmware (2021)

Hi. I know a big firmware leap went out at the beginning of this year (2021) that changed a lot of things. I'm having trouble finding information on Flow Acceleration with the newer firmware. I'm running an RT-AC88U as my main router, and an RT-AC1900P (which is basically an RT-AC68U) as a mesh...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Yes, all Others > Untracked. All on the same port (32400). I can easily label all of that as File Transferring. #1 would be relevant if I put "File Transferring" higher. That would come anything it's higher than, no? Also, separate stand-alone question: "Others" higher than "Web Surfing", yeah?

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

OK, so I tested Plex traffic being accessed by someone outside of my home network. By default/vanilla, QoS is classifying it as Others, and I see it spike up in the "Others" on your new Graph Scale (). I'm using the standard Plex port: 32000. So here's a two-part guess/idea: #1: my...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

I do run a Plex server from my home, that serves to my parents and close friends. Unrelated (whether the Plex server is being accessed or not), any time any 1 device on my network uploads at full speed, my entire network grinds to a halt. This most often happens with Plex, but any device can...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

This is adjacently related to the conversation happening in the last few comments in this thread, but I wanted to get a check-in from people who have been active recently. In the old thread, I remember when Work-from-Home and Learn-from-Home first came out. After pouring over tons of comments...

WireGuard VPN (on local device, not on router) fails

Interesting. OK so, I'm using Private Internet Access VPN with WireGuard. So, I'm only inputting my PIA credentials, and then connecting to whatever region I choose. Whatever thing you're describing is what's making Googling this so difficult. I guess a lot of people use WireGuard on both ends...

WireGuard VPN (on local device, not on router) fails

@SomeWhereOverTheRainBow OK, perhaps you could help me with this? I'm forwarding port 51820 on my router to that device. That's the port WireGuard uses, right? I couldn't figure out how to change my router's firewall settings. But I did try completely disabling the firewall to test, and it...

WireGuard VPN (on local device, not on router) fails

I originally wrote this as a reply to a thread, but I have a message at the top of my screen that I can't reply to threads more than 6 months old. So here's a new thread on it, but it's based on a small thread/problem that @TinMan11 ran in to last year. Hi. I wanted to resurrect this from the...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.0 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Hey. I'm not advanced when it comes to home networking and ASUS routers, but I'm no beginner either. Enough that I used FreshJR the past few years, and now have been playing with Flex for the past month. I'm noticing a problem with my entire network when I transfer data locally. I have a NAS...
