    ASUSTOR AS4004T 4 Bay 10GbE NAS Reviewed

I use a 2.5bge adapter on my Asustor AS3104T with 4 SSDs in a RAID 5 configuration. Sometime in August 2020 a software update improved write speeds to ~200MB/s from ~140MB/s. I tested copying a large file from a fast PC. I wonder if the write speed of the AS4004T improved in RAID 5 also from...

Use Samsung Evo 860 SSD in small NAS?

I use an Asustor NAS with 2.5gbe interface with four Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB drives in RAID 5. It works great. If I were to upgrade my NAS, it would be to an Asustor AS4004T for the 10gbe interface.

    G.Hn Wave 2

They nodes are located in the basement and main floor living room. However, I'm not sure how far apart they are on the electric wiring? I suspect they both go about 50 feet to the breaker box, but I really don't have any way to confirm that.

I was using a pair of TP-Link AV2000 powerline adapters.

    G.Hn Wave 2

I bought a pair of these after seeing your post. Thanks! My previous powerline products got about 20mbp/s where they were installed. These got between 70mb/s and 100mb/s. Both speed and stability was greatly improved. Craig

Is anybody interested in 8+2 10GbE switch?

I prefer unmanaged switches because I keep a very simple home network. I understand there are many other use cases that are different from mine, so only take this as a survey of one person. :) I think I only need two 10gbe ports, one for the NAS and one for my main PC. I think it is important...

Is anybody interested in 8+2 10GbE switch?

Yes! I've had the Netgear GS110MX in my Amazon wish list for almost a year. I think I only need two 10gbe copper ports; one for the NAS and one for my main PC. Perhaps I need something different, but have not figured it out yet.

    ASUSTOR AS4004T 4 Bay 10GbE NAS Reviewed

Can the three Ethernet ports on the back of the AS 4004T be used as a switch? For example, could I plug a computer into the 10G ethernet port (for fast NAS access) and still access the rest of the LAN through the 1G ports on the AS4004T?

    No Cisco VPN with RT-N56U

Updated to what version? I'm using 1.0.1.8f, which I think is up to date. What settings do you use?

    No Cisco VPN with RT-N56U

I can't get my employer's Cisco AnyConnect v2.5.0217 VPN to work with my new Asus RT-N56U router. It worked with my D-Link DIR-825, but that was killed in a lightning storm. I've tried all eight combinations of enabling/disabling these settings in NAT passthrough: PPTP Passthrough L2TP...
