Asus AiMesh with wired access point headache, out of my mind, angry

I can't actually disable ethernet backhaul, as the setting in each mesh node for that is greyed out. I had disabled smart connect based on other feedback for this issue previously, but I can re-enable, though if I end up with the same SSID for the 2.4 and 5ghz with that setting, I know for a...

Asus AiMesh with wired access point headache, out of my mind, angry

I've tried that. Roaming on 2.4 works fine, but any of the 5ghz I have issues. The AC86 used to be my basement node and I was having troubles with the 5ghz roaming so I purchased the AX55 to replace it (and moved the 86 to a location a couple hundred feet away). Same problem on the AX55.

Asus AiMesh with wired access point headache, out of my mind, angry

I will chime in and say I'm having similar issues (if I understand OP correctly). My main router is an AX88u, and three wired mesh nodes (AX55, AC86, and AC68). My issues only happens on the 5Ghz network. It seems if I 'roam' to a mesh node on 5Ghz, I experience random internet drops or very...

Allow LAN traffic between T-mobile gateway and Asus AX88 in router mode

examples: Use my printer, log into esp8266s, access a network share, access both router web interfaces, etc when I'm on the 'wrong' wired device or WITHOUT switching SSIDs.

Allow LAN traffic between T-mobile gateway and Asus AX88 in router mode

The phone app is even more restrictive than the web interface. By changing the Asus to 12.x, don't I introduce a whole mess of IP conflicts, depending on which device hands out the IP address?

Allow LAN traffic between T-mobile gateway and Asus AX88 in router mode

This worked! At least for printing between the two! Any idea if there is a way to create a custom firewall rule/script that would accomplish something similar for a range of IPs?

Allow LAN traffic between T-mobile gateway and Asus AX88 in router mode

I have T-Mobile home internet. Their gateway allows ZERO configuration for firewall, DNS, DHCP, etc. I'm stuck with 192.168.12.xxx and whatever random IPs it gives out. I let the T-Mobile gateway service iot devices, and some upstairs wired devices. Again, it has ZERO configurability, but serves...

ASUS RT-AC88U Dual WAN in Load Balance

I wanted to chime in here to offer the easy way I figured out to do Dual WAN without all the page timeouts. I was having so many issues with it taking several attempts for a page to load, and I realized that with load balance, the router would hop back and forth between WANs while processing...
