Explain IP pools to me like i'm seven years old

If you try to explain IP pools to a seven-year-old, you get jello up the walls, and end up sleeping in the garage when the other half finds out!

    Synology RT2600ac and WPS

Not enabling WPS on modern iPhones is an active choice Apple has made. It's not a fault on your router! Thanks to its insecurity WPS is usually best turned off!

Does the latest AsusWRT/Merlin FW has a memory leak?

A quick search would show that the router is almost certainly just using memory as a cache - as it's designed to. Unused memory is wasted memory, especially when that memory could be used to speed other things up. If you were using the Merlin firmware, you'd be able to see how much of that...

    Solved No webGUI

Check that the router can see your USB drive!

Have global ipv6 address but unable to access internet over ipv6

Until you have everything up and running I'd take the PiHole out of the equation. Also how are you testing that you are not connecting using IPv6? The Chrome/Edge extension IPFoo can be a useful tool - it can be enlightening to see how much you are still pulling over IPv4 even when IPv6 is...

Weird issue with an GT-AX6000 when maxing out ISP provided speeds.

Umm, on Asus Firmware ethernet port 1 is prioritised, if you don't want it to hog your connection, don't use port 1! I think you'll find info on this in the gaming section of the router Web UI.

    ASUS ExpertWiFi EBG15

It seems a very odd direction to be going in. Bluetooth setup, WiFi via additional APs only, no 2.5Gbps or 10Gbps port(s). Very odd! I'd also wonder with the 8+1 port PoE version does it have a switched power supply?

12V ASUS router with the longest 2.4GHz WiFi range

I'd be making sure that it is the router that's the problem before doing anything else! You should be able to see the signal strength to the bulb from "Network Map: View List" on your router. Unless it's only a single bar I'd not be worried about the signal strength - most smart bulb only sip...

Ienron switches any good for managed switch?

The problem is that if the brand is an unknown quantity, you don't know what you are buying. Agreed a "basic" network switch is something you should plug in and forget, but when you move to "smart switches", it's going to have some software component and you need to know the SFP+ ports are...

Do I need a PoE Filter?

PoE - Power over Ethernet! Are you powering the MoCA boxes using PoE, in which case you would need an injector (not a filter) on the ethernet leading to each MoCA device. *Im in the UK so MoCA is incredibly rare here, so if I'm wrong I will yield!

Guest network MAC address white listing limit

Okay, but what are you trying to do? If you are trying to filter clients between the main WiFi and the Guest WiFi (or even just between the bands on the same SSID) using the MAC address is an unreliable means to do it - clients will still try (continually) to connect to the strongest signal...

Ienron switches any good for managed switch?

Is it easy to find the support site for the OEM? If not then it's probably just a different name on a box that's available from multiple vendors. If you think you are ever likely to need support (or even a decent manual that you can read) then you'd probably be better off going with a device...

vnStat WebUI page not found vnStat & connmon

If you use the script to reboot the router every day, once in a blue moon you'll find the USB attached drive won't be recognised. This is a possible cause of the issue you are seeing. *I see little point in rebooting the router every day - my next deliberate reboot will probably be for a...

ASUS GT AX6000 Reset to default settings unexpectedly

When you do have it all set back up how you like it, remember you can back up all your settings, just incase!

Hmm, surprisingly clunky, and I would think it quite hard to patent/protect!
