    Brand new AC88u 2.4Ghz not working

    I had an AC86U and the 2.4 GHz failed after 2 weeks. I read through this thread and what happened to my 86U was exactly what happened to those here with their 88Us. This is really odd. Mine worked perfectly for 2 weeks and I loved this router and then I get up one morning and 2.4 is dead...

    DC power adapter

    The unit will only draw the amperage it needs so you need a supply that can deliver at least 1.75 A. If you get a larger one, it will be fine and probably run cooler. Amazon sells a number of 12v to 19v supplies like this one for $13.99 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06W5CMH95/?tag=snbforums-20...

    Any known issues regarding AC2900/RT-AC86U 2.4 GHz radio malfunction?

    I upgraded a N66U (which has been rock solid) to a AC86U 3 weeks ago. It worked perfectly for 2 weeks on the latest ASUS firmware. Then all of a sudden, all the 2.4 clients dropped out with auth failures and those that could switched to 5GHz. I reset to factory defaults but no luck with 2.4...
