yesterday when i got home, i was reading about the change with admin accounts . and some people had success just powering it off , unplug wait, then plug back in and power up . i tried that still couldnt get in, held the reset button down (not wps). reset router. setup with harder log in...

i did a bunch of factory resets before, setup my name and pw like normal.. could get in like normal for the first couple times then i would try later to log in and i couldnt... , i did it again today after work because i couldnt login again, this time i used a harder username /pw and enabled...

im running into this problem right now with my 88u, am i being hacked ? im running 384.13

wish i kept the log, my router was literally stroking out with errors and i was droping wifi connections with my laptop .. untell i went back to 384.13 now its solid

so i was using a gt5300 for a while now but needed to switch back to my old ac88u because i got ATT fiber now and i want to try and use my asus router direct to the ont and remove the att modem. this requires merlin fw also. so i flashed the latest 384.17 on my ac88u and have done like 10...

the thing is my 88u never had this problem.. if i hook it back up it will just load the client list with whatever default values it can find and not mac addresses. i can rename sure ... but i shouldnt have too.. another example is the APP on my phone. it shows a list with names . not macs. ya i...

i just hooked my 88u back up and updated to latest firmware just to make sure and it has no issues with client list, the list comes right up with out mac addresses at all. i even did a WPS reset and it came right up with the list working after i configured the router...

That's weird because my 88u always showed the names. And if you check with the android app it shows the name. It should show the names on the web gui too..
