7797 was stable for a day, today random drop outs have occured on 1 ax client. That client is now running 2.4 ghz. I want to go back to the rock solid 7756. Is it difficult to go back to older fw?
Ok, thanks so I wouldnt benefit anything on putting the control channel to auto I suspect? Everything works like a charm, but just curious about the different settings.
Thanks Grisu :)
So if the Control channel is higher than 40 then the speed will increase?
Strangely the only client limiting me to channel 40 is the PCE68U adapter, that was the same issue it had with my old router Asus AC68U anything beyond Control channel 40 the PC wont connect to 5,0 Ghz band.
Hi,
I've been tring to read some giudes on what the different channels does but not really got the hung of it. I am a complety noob regarding wifi and so on.
I have a Asus RT AX88U and have 2 separate SSID one for 2,4 and one for 5,0. The 2,4 is all on auto settings and everything works just...
I’ve exchanged my ROG Rapture AX11000 to the AX88U due to client dropouts and instable performance of the second 5 GHz band. Installed the AX88U yesterday, on the latest FW and everything seems to work fine except for one client and that is a PC with the Asus AX58BT network card that just...
Thats a pity. As it is now, the first 5 GHz band with 160 MHz enabled and control channel 40 is lighting fast. The second 5 GHz I must put a manual control channel otherwise its very unstable on auto channel and disconects. Its a pity that it is so slow on the second 5 GHz band with 160 MHz and...
I can use the upper channels in the second 5GHz but the performance is very poor so that is a bummer. Dont know if I'm returning it or play the waiting game and hope it will get better?
Tested some more (I am very inexperienced with routers and settings) when connected to 5.1 GHz and the control channel 40, the speed tends to hold at 1,2Gbit/s but when switching to 5,2 GHz and disabling the 160 MHz and Control channel to auto it drops sown to below 200 Mbit/s and disconnects...
Hi,
I setup the new and shiny ROG router and to my surprise it was so smooth and everything worked like a charm, updating the bios, setting up the ssid and so on. However a few hours later some clients started to drop specially the AX ones and also the speed to the AX clients went down from 1,2...
