Oh, I see. When I was using OVPN and before upgrading to the current version of Merlin, I had all the OVPN clients set to “exclusive,” so that Diversion would work properly with the VPN. So if I’m understanding you correctly, I need to change the WireGuard DNS within the config file, to the...
I'm running the most current version of Merlin on an Asus RT-AX88U, VPN Director, running TorGuard dedicated IP on Wireguard for streaming purposes. I also have Diversion and Skynet running on the router as well. The problem seems to be that Diversion will not block any ads with the current...
I
I have a static IP.
I have a static IP through my ISP. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled Diversion already. I’ve read some of the thread, and it seems as if my router (Asus AX88U) might be the problem. I guess I’ll try reverting back to the previous version of Merlin.
I update regularly through amtm. However, I just tried your suggestion of unplugging for a minute, then re-flashing 388.1. No ads are being blocked again. Should I just erase the usb drive that Diversion is on and re-install amtm?
As stated in the title, I was away for about 2.5 weeks and turned off my router. My ISP allows "pausing" for up to a month, so that you will not be charged for internet usage when going on trips/holiday. I decided to take advantage of this feature and turned off the router as well, however...
What’s the best way to learn how to do this properly? I’d like to have BBC iPlayer go through a UK VPN server and Hulu, Netflix, Prime, etc., go through a US server.
I don’t use x3mRouting, but I’ve previously set DNS as “Strict” and Policy Rules (VPN Director) enabled, but Diversion was not working. I currently have DNS Strict and run everything through the VPN tunnel. If I want Policy Rules enabled and Diversion to work, do I need to have the DNS Relaxed...
Yes, same here. I have DNS set to “Exclusive” and all traffic through tunnel to “Yes.” I believe this is now the only way to have Diversion and the VPN to to work? It seems as though “Strict” and policy rules (VPN Director) does not work in conjunction with Diversion.
I had the same problem. Previously, using Policy Rules with Accept DNS Configuration “Strict” was one of two ways (the other being “Disable”) to have VPN policy rules and Diversion to work. Now it seems that policy rules will not work.
I'm on Merlin 386.2_6, using ExpressVPN (VPN manually configured to router with no policy rules and all traffic through VPN, Accept DNS config is set to "Exclusive"). I get this message in the sys log:
ovpn-client3[16374]: WARNING: You have specified redirect-gateway and redirect-private at the...
