How to achieve xfinity multi-gig "Gigabit extra" 1200mbps connection

Oh definitely, I remember wishing there were custom packages where you could trade whatever x amount of download speed for more upload speed. I have this tier for only $75 a month and there definitely aren't really any other better options around me. What's sad is that I can get upto 70mbps...

How to achieve xfinity multi-gig "Gigabit extra" 1200mbps connection

Been using an SB8200 modem with a Asus RT-AX88U router for a couple years with my 1.2Gbps Comcast tier, I suppose I'm one of the few fortunate people who don't seem to get any issues with this modem and router while having Link Aggregation and WAN Aggregation enabled. Here's a speed test of...

Not worried but anyone else being port scanned constantly ATM from a particular region?

The curse of not staying up-to-date with this stuff really sucks lol. So if you should be disabling it, is there a way to access your routers GUI when abroad? If one wishes to access their own router when not home?

Not worried but anyone else being port scanned constantly ATM from a particular region?

To my own shame, yes, that's correct. And I say "to my own shame" because about 10-15 years ago I was a techy/computer guy and normally would have known better, it didn't even cross my mind, also, back 10+ years ago I don't recall random people using means to find and access the average Joe's...

Not worried but anyone else being port scanned constantly ATM from a particular region?

Sorry, I really haven't had much time past couple days to do anything besides work so really didn't read through everything, didn't notice the important question. It was an older external WD Passport hard drive connected to the rear USB port of the router, and only that hard drive was FTP...

When I originally posted it was awaiting approval, when I tried to edit and re-attach the photos it was saying it had to be approved again

Not worried but anyone else being port scanned constantly ATM from a particular region?

Looks like I am a victim of this very thing (a picture discovered made me think it was Russian related), I just found out about my NAS getting hacked yesterday (3/6/22), but looks like it was accessed two other times previously. I didn't know about the previous two until the third recent one...

Rt-ax88u - Speed Test Not Right?

It's been a while, but I was able to finally verify that my setup/connection is working correctly. All I had to do was to run Speedtest simultaneously on two separate devices; I ran the Speedtest app on the LAN connected HTPC and my Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5ghz WiFi connection, sure enough, I...

Rt-ax88u - Speed Test Not Right?

The multi-connections speed test gives me roughly 900mbps, but after several tests it can sometimes come back at in the 700mbps or 600mbps range. I tried a file transfer between the WiFi 6 lan card and the wired 1gbps htpc and it was going at 110MB/sec, so the ability to reach that kind of...

Rt-ax88u - Speed Test Not Right?

I took my main desktop computer that I normally keep in bedroom upstairs and took it down and set it about 2-3 feet away from the router (have a Wi-Fi 6 wireless network card in the desktop) which gave it a good stable connection at 2.4Gbps, but I also connected and tested the same PC via...

Rt-ax88u - Speed Test Not Right?

I noticed when I was downloading an nvidia update on HTPC just now it was staying in the 40-50 MB/sec which would be equivalent to around 400-500mbps. But of course that could just be a limit of the server. Anyone know of a place I could try downloading some large files off a very fast server...

Rt-ax88u - Speed Test Not Right?

I was thinking perhaps that would be reasonable, but I would think that since it supports WAN aggregation with 2gbps speed support, the internal speed test app would be made to fit that. I suppose I could always try a full factory reset, unplug everything, only enable wan aggregation, and run...

Rt-ax88u - Speed Test Not Right?

I noticed after I upgraded my Comcast speed to the 1.2Gbps package, in the router GUI Speed Test, it will never go above 600mpbs, usually comes back in the high 400's or low 500's, but my HTPC connected via LAN and using the Windows 10 Speed Test App comes back with a highest speed of 951mbps...
