Turns out it was a WPS thing. I found a match between the printer and the router ... working now. Thanks!- davidc

Are you using the stock firmware or Merlin, please? Are your printers recent models?- davidc

Brother printer not recognized
I've tried two Brother printers, HL-2275DW and MFC-J450DW, via Ethernet and USB. The RT-AX58U sees what's connected to the USB but I can't print to it. I assigned an IP to the Mac address of the HL-2275DW - still no joy. Do I need the Merlin firmware to fix this?- davidc
