    ASUS RT-AC86U firmware release 3.0.0.4.384_32799

    This was the smoothest firmware upgrade so far for me. Running 3 RT-AC86U's, did firmware update on control router and after logging in found it had propagated it to both nodes, no reboot required and all devices rejoined the wi-fi network without issue.     RT-AC87U random rebooting with 380.65 (Asuswrt-Merlin)

    It may be power related, you might try a small battery backup UPS. There are a couple for around $40 that would fit the bill.
