    Merlin FW & Chrome

    Nevermind, I figured it out. Apparently, the advanced option "Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors" causes the problem.

    Nope, Avast. Latest version.

    Merlin FW & Chrome

    Has anyone ran into an issue where logging into the admin panel using https causes the browser to stall? This only happens on Chrome, and not I.E.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.52 is available

    This problem was resolved by turning off HTTPS for the admin panel.

    Asuswrt-Merlin 378.52 is available

    Using 378.52_2 on a RT-AC66R. Anytime I go into the admin panel, it appears the http server in the unit is dying. Anyone else experiencing that or am I the Lone Ranger out here?

    RT-AC68 - New firmware 3.0.0.4.376_3602 (AVOID)

    I have an RT-AC66U and I'm a US user. Utilizing the RT-AC66U version of this firmware in my router killed my 5Ghz band. Switching to Merlin's Firmware fixed it. I think this pretty much cemented me as a Merlin Firmware user.

    Looking into replacing my n66u.

    The charts show it being able to route over 700Mbps... With that having been said, it seems like the biggest concern would be the cable modem and the state of the coax coming into the house, but not the router. I could be wrong, but that's my two cents.

    ASUS AC-RT66R -> Netgear SRXN3205 via VPN

    Any suggestions? I will say this... The ASUS thinks it has connected to the Netgear, but the Netgear doesn't think a connection has occurred. On the ASUS VPN connection screen, there is one of those swirly circles that shows it's doing something, but it never seems to finish, what ever it's...

    ASUS AC-RT66R -> Netgear SRXN3205 via VPN

    Howdy, Since both of these units support VPN, is it even possible to connect these? I'm getting ready to have knee surgery soon, and I'd like to connect to work via VPN so I can access my files over the network. I have access to the admin sites for both routers, but what I know about VPN...

    ASUS RT-AC66U Firmware version 3.0.0.4.376.1123

    Questions about this firmware: 1) What conditions have to exist for the beamforming question to show up in the Wireless > Professional menu? Am I even looking in the right menu? 2) What conditions have to exist for the router to work with the Android app? It sees the router, but it can't...

    HE Tunnel Broker and ASUS RT-AC66R

    Is it possible to give all computers attached to the above referenced router access to an ipv6 6in4 tunnel from HE? I'm having problems getting it to work and I'm wanting to make sure I'm not wasting my time. Thanks! denali

    Wireless/Wired Buying Advice

    1Gbps to the house via a passive optical network for $79.99/month. They also offer TV and phone services via fiber. With my WD MyNet N900 router, I was getting just under 800 Mbps. If I plug my computer directly into the outlet, I get close to 950 Mbps.

    Wireless/Wired Buying Advice

    Thanks for the reply and correcting my use of terms. With what you've said, I've had routers from: Netgear Dlink Western Digital Buffalo I've been unhappy with them for one reason or another. The Netgear I was unhappy with because their support consists of a really pissed off Asian dude on...

    Wireless/Wired Buying Advice

    Howdy Folks, So I had a WD N900 router that has died not once, but twice. At this point, I'm done with it. I'm currently getting internet from EPB here in Chattanooga. For those who've not heard of them, they're one of the few ISPs that provide Fiber to the House at 1Gbps. They're also...

    D-Link DAP-1320

    Anyone managed to get one of these to work? I set it up and nothing can connect to it. If you need further information, please let me know.
