I have the same issue. I spent hours with Asus tech support. They sent me a replacement unit and I just tested it with the same result. And then I found this thread... I guess I'll play the game and send my old unit back. Unfortunately, I gave my older router away.

I figured this out. I needed to release the IP address from my old router first (or wait until the lease expired).

I recently picked this router up to replace my old(er) Linksys E3000. No matter what I try, I can't get it to successfully connected to my broadband connection. I happen to be on Verizon FIOS using an Actiontec as a bridge. The Linksys connects flawlessly. I reset the router to factory...
