You are correct, and thanks for the tips. I have the powerline Eth/backhaul there as a failsafe / fallback, and the speeds generally are a bit less than the 5Ghz-2. I do not use Guest Wifi, though, and no VLANs, so I still am not quite sure what got bugged up in everything other than something...

I don't use VLANs, and the ETH backhaul is plugged directly from one AC-5300 to the other AC-5300 over powerline. I decided to just factory reset the node and set it back up and all is working good with ETH backhaul, Wifi, as well as just auto.

Aww snap! That explains a lot. Thank you so much for clarifying all this. I was under the belief that to use a dnssec-enabled server in dnscrypt, I had to also enable dnssec in the gui (all or nothing kind of deal). Much easier to configure understanding this.

No, my external IP only changes if I go dark (offline from their network for > 24 hours, so it has been the same for about a year. Business class ISP. I am okay gathering up some logs for review if you have any particular ones that you think might help. Will have to wait for it to happen again...

From what I can gather in the description... do you perhaps have Backhaul Mode enabled on your main router connected to the PPoE? It sounds like you are running mixed mode with your APs.. which in my understanding is okay as long as the main router isn't set to backhaul. Setting the main router...

Upgrade was good. All supporting extras are working fine, however, I did note that my tcp connections to my additional AP have went from < 10ms avg to around 80ms avg after the upgrade. It is plugged in directly to the main router (backhaul) so shouldn't be anything other than noisy chatter on...
