Disassociated because sending station is leaving (or has left)

You are correct, and thanks for the tips. I have the powerline Eth/backhaul there as a failsafe / fallback, and the speeds generally are a bit less than the 5Ghz-2. I do not use Guest Wifi, though, and no VLANs, so I still am not quite sure what got bugged up in everything other than something...

Disassociated because sending station is leaving (or has left)

I don't use VLANs, and the ETH backhaul is plugged directly from one AC-5300 to the other AC-5300 over powerline. I decided to just factory reset the node and set it back up and all is working good with ETH backhaul, Wifi, as well as just auto.

Disassociated because sending station is leaving (or has left)

Just thought I would share my experience with this. I tracked it down to having Wifi and Eth backhaul both enabled (with it set to Backhaul Connection Priority of 5ghz-2 Wifi First). Now this was working fine for months as it was.. but something in the eth backhaul seems to have caused issue...

    LAN Connection to 192.168.49.1

It is just ESET Network Inspector (go to Tools, Network Inspector). It "maps" out devices on your network.. and reports devices or known vulnerabilities and it is probably configured with some default or something is tripping its security from that IP/device. You can try turning down some of the...

DNScrypt Dnscrypt Proxy Installer For Asuswrt-Merlin(Nov.)

Aww snap! That explains a lot. Thank you so much for clarifying all this. I was under the belief that to use a dnssec-enabled server in dnscrypt, I had to also enable dnssec in the gui (all or nothing kind of deal). Much easier to configure understanding this.

DNScrypt Dnscrypt Proxy Installer For Asuswrt-Merlin(Nov.)

Well, I wanted to give things time to settle before responding with updates. I disabled dnssec in the GUI, and that seemed better for the most part. Had an issue occur that could still be related, but I never got through a deep dive of the logs. I have updated the Dnscrypt Proxy Installer twice...

DNScrypt Dnscrypt Proxy Installer For Asuswrt-Merlin(Nov.)

I will try running the command if it occurs again. It said it resolved google from the cache in the log.. not sure if that matters though. The country code blocks are: #vn ir th id eg kp sa pk af

DNScrypt Dnscrypt Proxy Installer For Asuswrt-Merlin(Nov.)

Alright.. it just occurred again.. and I attempted to connect to a site (zoom) via app and then browser and capture the dnsmasq log entries.. dnsmasq.log May 13 09:01:27 dnsmasq[15713]: query[A] zoom.us from 192.168.1.2 May 13 09:01:27 dnsmasq[15713]: dnssec retry to 127.0.1.1 May 13 09:01:29...

DNScrypt Dnscrypt Proxy Installer For Asuswrt-Merlin(Nov.)

No, my external IP only changes if I go dark (offline from their network for > 24 hours, so it has been the same for about a year. Business class ISP. I am okay gathering up some logs for review if you have any particular ones that you think might help. Will have to wait for it to happen again...

DNScrypt Dnscrypt Proxy Installer For Asuswrt-Merlin(Nov.)

I have been running dnscrypt-proxy installer since maybe December-ish. Mostly no issues... other than dns failing out every once in awhile and having to reboot the router. I will say that the latest update seems to perhaps cause the dns to failout more often, like after about 3 days of...

Early AM lag and loss of network while still connected - odd kernel errors shown - XT8

From what I can gather in the description... do you perhaps have Backhaul Mode enabled on your main router connected to the PPoE? It sounds like you are running mixed mode with your APs.. which in my understanding is okay as long as the main router isn't set to backhaul. Setting the main router...

Easy way to test Wi-Fi speed from RT-AX86U to a connected client?

May seem trivial, but I would just transfer a large file from a computer/device plugged into the router to a device connected on the wifi.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5 is now available

** Fixed it! Was a broadcast loop on the AP with Home Security.

Release Asuswrt-Merlin 386.5 is now available

Upgrade was good. All supporting extras are working fine, however, I did note that my tcp connections to my additional AP have went from < 10ms avg to around 80ms avg after the upgrade. It is plugged in directly to the main router (backhaul) so shouldn't be anything other than noisy chatter on...
