Synology NASes are more expensive than DIY

Interesting enough this week I did an upgrade of my Moodle development package and saw they are using Bitnami installers.. going to be interesting to see how this all pans out. As makes adding in software packages a snap for companies and individuals...

Is it possible to mix hard disks in DS215j ?

Thanks for the reply, been reading left right and center about the pro's and cons.. Independent volumes do seem to be the go.. As the raid array seems to be only if you are using it in an intense data hungry SMB. In my case as mentioned, mostly it's going to be a file repository for clients to...

    Moodle and Synology.

Yes.. I am glad that Synology decided to add it to their repo.. And there are plenty of good frontend templates that make getting a setup up and running in no time and hassle free.. Plus the ability to use Gdrive and the HTML5 commands.. Actually take the load off the NAS and leaves that to...

    Moodle and Synology.

Lol..after the evening I had last night I could swop that out for PMS...;-) In all my wisdom, I decided to play with settings in the router due to roaming around the internet and was thinking of making the connections a little secure from my end.. Note to oneself; DNS IP changes on reboot of...
