    Anomaly RAM Usage 97%

You might want to read the other replies above - a new user reports an issue and the majority of replies that follow shout him/her down with its "completely normal" and "nothing to see here". Anyway, my point was that he/she is not the only one seeing some memory issues. As per my post, its a...

    Anomaly RAM Usage 97%

Lots of skepticism in this thread... "SNBForums is a community for everyone, no matter what their level of experience."... 8-} Anyway, I have a AX-86U PRO and am seeing the same thing with a brand new router. No issues with my previous AC-86U which sadly gave up the ghost a few weeks ago...

    Router temperatures

Ah, yes they do... I and many others have demonstrated many times now that the issue is associated with the jump between 384 and 386 firmware versions - around 6-10 degrees hotter with 386, resulting in CPU core shutdowns when they hit 100 degrees. You can probably rightly argue that the...

    Router temperatures

I don't agree with this at all - it only became an issue with 386.1 and later firmware... My router was manufactured in 2019. Or ASUS could revert the changes made between 384.19 and 386.1 that have resulted in the increase in temperatures... EEE is a prime candidate by the sounds of it...

    AC86U overheats with fw 386

Has anyone tried Merlin 386.2 beta to see if it has any impact on the temperature issues? (It is based on stock 386_42095, so if ASUS have tweaked anything under the covers we may see it appear with this release)

    AC86U overheats with fw 386

Interesting note from Wade Coxon in: http://www.snbforums.com/threads/asuswrt-merlin-386-1-is-now-available.69783/post-667665 I haven't tried it yet, but is probably worth checking out.

    AC86U overheats with fw 386

Yeah thanks - not running DNSSEC, so thats all good. That 6-8 degrees is at ambient 25 degrees and low humidity. The other day, with ambient 26 and high humidity, my temperatures were getting over 95 degrees - a rise of 12 degrees from 386.1_2 to 384.19 - and way too close to it derating for...

    AC86U overheats with fw 386

So after running stock 41994 for a while, I can confirm: - Stock 41994 is equivalent to running Merlin 386.1_2 from a temperature point of view - Both run at least 6-8 degrees hotter than Merlin 384.19 when routers are basically idling (< 10% CPU) - Running without QOS / AI / Apps Analysis...

386.1 system time out by 1hr in Australia

I've recently done a clean install after a hard reset for both 384.19 and 386.1. I only have the issue in 386.1

    AC86U overheats with fw 386

Yeah I saw that statement from Merlin as well - unfortunately my CPU is 95 degrees, not 80, so something is not right. I haven't seen anyone report issues with routers other than the AC86U, so maybe it is localised to that hardware, or maybe just mine Thanks OE - I did try that before...

    AC86U overheats with fw 386

Could you please let me know what version were you running before 41994? I was running Merlin 386.1_2 (95 degrees celcius) and had to revert to Merlin 384.19 (83 degrees celcius) -> these temps are for an ambient of around 26 degrees plus high humidity (90%). Resetting/etc did not resolve the...

    386.1 Wifi time scheduling

Can also confirm that TIME based scheduling with parental controls is fixed in 386.2_alpha1-g18f27b0693. Thanks All.

You mean chaining to NSFW? That may be the case, but there are no entries in the NSFW chain currently, so the traffic is being allowed through, when previously it wasn't. All I can tell you is that it was working in Merlin 384.19, and works in stock 386.
