Solved Question on Frontier fiber installation

Update - Frontier fiber installed today. Tech had no issues using my ASUS router. Left their Eero router with me. Just plugged in my router, and all worked just fine, no changes needed to be done.

Solved Question on Frontier fiber installation

Yes speaking with him he stated that while the tech was setting up her simply plugged in his router and it came alive. I just worry that if the Erro's is plugged in first there may be some handshaking making the swap to my router harder. But again I am no network expert.

Solved Question on Frontier fiber installation

Nice as Frontier provides an Eero router but I want to use my Asus router. Neighbor just used their own router without issue. But he plugged in his router before tech had chance to attach their Eero router. Any trick to adding ones own router? Just plug and play or power off/on fiber equipment...

Solved Question on Frontier fiber installation

I plan on getting Frontier fiber installed soon and was wondering if my assumptions on how they run fiber etc. is correct. How I would assume it can be installed is that they could run fiber into my basement to the ONT then Ethernet is run across base up through floor (hole in place) up to the...

ASUS RT-AX86U Pro and Ooma issue

I guess my question is will I cripple the functionality that hopefully my new ASUS router offered just for fixing the Ooma? I think for now I may just go the wired route which is a pain due to distance of router and the Ooma which I do not want to move so some new holes to the basement.

ASUS RT-AX86U Pro and Ooma issue

Yes firewall back on. Would hard wiring the Ooma help in determining if it's a wifi issue vs system wise setting? Firmware, stock: 3.0.0.6.102_34336

ASUS RT-AX86U Pro and Ooma issue

Been using my Ooma VOIP phone (on WiFi) without issues for years. Recently switched out my TP-Link router for an ASUS RT-AX86U Pro and notice now that on a phone call while I hear people just fine. People hear words dropped, like say every 5-6 word. I tried turning off the firewall and custom...

Solved RT-AX68U Pro trying to reserve IP address my results

If I can, had the printer for awhile. I did a quick search in the PDF manual and no hits for IP. Thus not sure if one can. Found out how I can set printer's IP. Seems to be the best way.
