Stacked routers > would this work?

You can’t have both downstream routers using the same WAN IP, remember the ISP router will need to know how to direct traffic to one of the other. Also, unless you do some messy routing work, you will need the downstream routers to present gateway addresses on the relevant downstream subnet.

How best to bridge two LANs?

A single subnet would involve a wholesale network redesign as there is currently a router between the two networks! I assume that this design is intentional to keep a level of isolation between the two sets of devices. One thing that has been worrying me about this setup is the comment about...

Problematic access to device on same subnet via two switches

Good news, glad you’ve solved it! [emoji846]

How best to bridge two LANs?

You say that you’ve disabled routing on the LAN2 router. In this scenario, both routers would need to be able to route traffic (that’s their job), indeed the LAN2 router would be the most relevant router. The LAN1 router would by default route all traffic not intended for LAN1 to its default...

Problematic access to device on same subnet via two switches

I don’t know the switches you are using, but are they both operating purely as Layer 2 switches & not attempting to route traffic? If they are routing then you’ll need separate subnets & suitable routing rules in all 3 network devices. Can you access the router from your laptop via both...

    CPU Core 2 100% in 384.6

Added info, just looked at my system log & it seems nothing was logged since 5th Sept until my hard reboot (previous hard reboot was still in the log from 2nd Sept, so I only got 3 days worth before logging stopped :(.

    CPU Core 2 100% in 384.6

I just had the same issue with my AC-68U. I performed a soft reboot & the 100% CPU (core1) remained. I then noticed that the router was reporting a problem with my ISPs DHCP & internet access was down (unfortunately I can’t say for certain if this was the case before the soft reboot, but I...

How do i enter my homenetwork from outside?

If you can't get an inbound connection, you'd need to establish an outbound connection rather like you do for teamviewer. Trouble is, you'd normally only open a teamviewer session when needed. If you want to be able to access your server remotely whenever you want, you'd need to establish an...

How do i enter my homenetwork from outside?

It sounds like the shared router in the basement is acting as the Internet facing router for the whole building & contains its own NATing firewall. Therefore all traffic from your building will share a single Internet IP. To enable inbound connections, you would need to configure port forwarding...

Port forwarding from guest network to LAN???

Does anyone know if there's a way to enable limited access to selected local resources from a guest network that has Intranet access turned off? Example: I'd like to allow guest users access to my Wi-Fi connected printer, whist still preventing full LAN access & without opening the printer to...
