Hp 7520 works sporadically over wireless

Been a while since I've been here. Reason is I finally gave up on the Asus router. Bought a Netgear Nighthawk X8 and plugged it in and all HP printer problems disappeared. Didn't have to change a thing. Last Asus router I'll own.

Hp 7520 works sporadically over wireless

Even with the latest version of the firmware (380.57), I still have this issue. I'm not sure if this is because of the merlin firmware or this router in general. I never really tried it with the stock firmware. Anyone have any other suggestions before I revert to stock?

Hp 7520 works sporadically over wireless

Thanks but both already addressed. IPv6 is off and the address is done via reservation like you suggest. The weird part seems to be that it's only traffic on the local network that has the issue. It can be refusing to print from every machine in the house and I can simply email a document and it...

Hp 7520 works sporadically over wireless

Hoping someone can help here... Had this HP 7520 running fine on my old router for a long time. Upgraded to the RT-AC68P and put Merlin on it. I don't know if it was anything to do with Merlin or the router itself, but that's when my printer issues started. I've always had the printer on...

Can't get port forwarding to work

You know...I've been doing this long enough to know that. Duh! Total bonehead move by me. Thanks again for the quick response. Popped it in seamlessly. Only thing I miss so far is the granularity on the time scheduling vs the full hour blocks (at least half hour would be better). Otherwise...

Can't get port forwarding to work

Well...this is interesting...looks like swapping out the router triggered a new external IP for me. Comcast hasn't changed my IP in years. After smacking my forehead (hard!) in realization, forwarding is working fine. Thanks!

Can't get port forwarding to work

I'm testing it by using my phone (over 4g so I'm off the local lan) to access things inside my network I could previously access. I don't recall setting anything in particular on the modem, but I'll try that route (because I am using a different IP on the router).

Can't get port forwarding to work

Just replaced an e3000 with dd-wrt with an rt-ac68p which I flashed with merlin 378.50. I've had port forwarding configured with the e3000 and working for a long time, so I know everything is working up to that point. But, with the merlin firmware, none of the port forwards I have setup are...
