Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.2 Beta is now available for Wifi 6 models

AX86U here. Dirty upgrade. Only issues I had were with VPN but once configuration fixed, stable. Beta 1 after a week use was stable. The only issues I had was with this Beta initially was with open VPN where I had to remove some unsupported commands because VPN wasn’t establishing connection...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

Don't enable the IPv4 Inbound Firewall Rules option as mentioned or don’t upgrade your firmware or go back to stock if it’s potentially fixed upstream. I’m sure it’ll get fixed somehow-someway and there’s probably a few other security issues lurking nearby that nobody knows about yet that once...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

Updated my AX86U directly from 386.4 Beta 2 to 386.4 Beta 3 and update was seamless. All wired, wireless, and vpn clients connected. Everything seems to be holding steady.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

No Kodi app installed on my shield, I use Emby/Plex to handle all my local media or the mainstream streaming apps for entertainment, some side loaded apps as well. Other than my original post, my shield hasn't disconnected since and remains stable. For me, it's more about gaming as IPv6...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

After reading your post, I was curious so I switched from LAN Port 3 back to the LAN Port 1 and to my surprise things remained stable, no disconnects. Yesterday, it was a different story where LAN port 1 would continue to disconnect no matter if I rebooted the asus router or affected streaming...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.4 beta is now available

AX86U here Updated from 386.3_2 to 386.4 beta 2 From a casuals point of view, everything is running smooth and stable now. I did experience an issue on my android tv box (nvidia shield) which I hadn't encountered before and that was that the wired network on my streaming box kept...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

Thanks for the reply. I noticed that I can put any VPN traffic into a select category, under options you have "Router/VPN Client Traffic Outbound Traffic Class" and I can choose a category class .i.e.. others, streaming, and so I figured you already had a way to distinguish VPN vs. non-VPN...

FlexQoS FlexQoS 1.2.4 - Flexible QoS Enhancement Script for Adaptive QoS

1.) Enhancement Request - I want to assign the "Router/VPN Client Outbound Traffic Class" to streaming for VPN client 1 and another "Router/VPN Client Outbound Traffic Class" to file transfer for VPN client 2, etc... * Plex/Emby server on VPN client 1 * IOT devices on VPN client 2 (via YazFi)...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 Beta is now available

On 386.2 beta 3, ax86u. My connection felt like it was stuttering a bit while gaming, so essentially the connection felt worse right after I updated to latest beta release on time sensitive games. I looked at cake settings and noticed my overhead values showed 36 instead of the expected 18. I...

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 386.2 Beta is now available

I don’t know about that waveform bufferbloat test site. I get an “A” bufferbloat score whether I have cake turned on or not so I’m not sure it fully saturates the connection. The same with running a ping to google, all results under 30 ms at most. In contrast, when I hop over to the dslreports...

Phones Connected to VPN Server Can Only Ping LAN Clients

Wow that worked. I disabled compression on OpenVPN server, exported a new .ovpn file, rebooted router (probably overkill), imported .ovpn to OpenVPN app on phones and phones are now behaving the same as PCs, can ping internal LAN IPs and can access the administrative pages. Thank You! :)
