I wonder how it can be that we all seem to have the issue since today. Must be a bug in the FW that only got active after a specific date? Or could it be a server side change on ASUS side?
Same issue here since today with an RP-AX56 with a wired LAN connection to my RT-AX88U. If I reboot it it stays connected for maybe 5min then disconnects again. No recent firmware updates done (last available I think was in February). What's the issue here?
I can also give an update here since I did not sell the routers after all. Instead I wrote the whole story to ASUS and I am in contact now with technicians in Taiwan on the issue. After asking me to telnet to re router and to enter a bunch of crazy commands and to send the outcome over they...
Thank you all again for your support but unfortunately nothing has helped in the end. I am still loosing internet connection, almost always when moving into areas around the house with bad wifi reception on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I have no idea how internet connectivity and bad wifi reception can...
Juko could you check if you are still able to connect to the router if you are connected to the 2.4Ghz network? For me that seems to work. Before I reset everything I had actually two disctint SSIDs for 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz and most of my devices were connected to the 5Ghz network. Now I am using one...
To be honest I don't think it's the Vodafone Station. I already checked the logs and there is nothing out of the ordinary there. I also don't have to reboot the Vodafone Station to receive connection via the AX88U again, it's just the router that needs to reboot...
Sure can do, see attached. Currently as you can see I am back to the stock ASUS firmware but the problem is the same with both the latest Merlin and the official ASUS. My WiFi settings are mostly on the standard values.
Can you check my first few posts? Lot's of logs there with the time of the crashes. I don't see anything conspicuous in them though. 5Ghz never comes back just like the internet connection. The only thing that helps is to reboot the router.
I feel it might be related to Wifi 6 devices, because my iPhone 8 seemingly cannot force the crash. Also it seems that after a crash, the router cannot be reached on the 5Ghz at all anymore but it's still possible to connect on 2.4Ghz. Can any of the others with the issue confirm this?
