I feel sorry for small biz that buys this! The idea for EBA63 in Mesh would be for wifi calling phone call moving around house (she lives in the sticks). There is an option to turn off Mesh. Given I only had one AP at the time MESH was NOT a factor except to possibly reveal crap software.

Isn't it CREATE SSIDs and ATTACH VLANs? I called support who told me there is a bug in the ExpertWiFi app that disallows VLAN creation and to use the WUI interface to the router to create the SSIDs and associated VLANs.

With Wired Router EBG15, Wired Switch EBP15, and Wired Access Point EBA63 as far as I can tell if you use the MESH functionality for network you cannot create VLANs. Wha? Put IoT on same subnet only? If you don't use MESH then you can create VLANs but no mobile roaming to best AP signal. Wha?

Well, after fiddling with the PVID it now works as expected. I didn't make any value different just selected APPLY on Port 4 PVID and now works. Maybe config file was gummed up. The * denotes default Tag.

Yes, I am using Advanced 802.1Q VLAN. The TV is ethernet cable so it won't be tagged with VLAN tag by an AP. I want the port to tag the device but cannot figure out how to do in the PVID table. VLAN1 is trusted. VLAN2 is untrusted. PVID is 1, 2* for Port #4 and I expect the TV to tagged...

I want to plug a TV into Port 4 with ethernet cable on Port 4 and have it be tagged #2 Untrusted IoT (Using Firewalla Gold router/firewall). The problem no matter how configure the PVID the TV is put in #1 Trusted. Is hardware port tagging possible?

Sad day. The RT-AC68U was a work horse. Many I know including me used them with no problems ever. Bury it with the Linksys WRT54G.

Strange then that when using WPA2 Personal the Fast Roaming option is available in the WAX214.

If you want small office VPN, why not get Firewalla Gold? Office to Office and Office to Client VPN. The guys who run Firewalla are former Cisco engineers.

So what is required for Fast Roaming? A credential server like Radius?

The WAX214 model if uses only WPA2 then lets the user enable Fast Roaming. Maybe it has its own proprietary roaming in those switches.

I talked to biz techie and he said to enable fast roaming with WPA2 saying the GS30xEPP supports WPA2 Fast Roaming. I could not find this feature in the user guide. Can anyone confirm this is a hidden feature?
