Help? Possible to have 2 routers wired and have 4 SSID's

Yes and no. The old router worked great, and the new one almost as good- speaking of the range. At times there are up to 8 TV's streaming, along with 2 gaming consoles and 1-3 laptop/PCs, not to mention the phones..... The whole access points people talk about for larger houses seems weird to...

Help? Possible to have 2 routers wired and have 4 SSID's

I'm not good with anything more than basic networking. They would be fairly close together, The devices don't have to see each other but it doesn't matter if they do. Could I just run an ethernet cable to the second ones using a static IP set to DMZ? Seems this shouldn't create a double nat...

    Release RT-AX86U Pro Version 3.0.0.6.102_34319 09OCT24 (2024/10/16 ?)

After mine upgraded nothing but problems. Nobody can connect to the 5g band. I've done hard resets and no go. I'm going to have to hook old faithful AC68U up and upload the previous firmware again. I'm not sure whether to turn on auto update or not. Definitely didn't improve signal or memory...

    ASUS AX86u CFG decrypter

I know this thread is old, but it saved my pututi though. Works on stock (with latest updates 10-2024) firmware for RT-AX86U Pro. Mine got borked (user error) and when I restored a BU config file (just made, BTW) I could no longer login. I had to do a hard reset. I have to use mac filters and I...

    Curious Wifi question

That's what I intended..... I try to avoid anything related to AI whenever possible anyways. Although I'm pretty sure (hope?) it's just marketing in this case or they're doing it with config data being sent - which I hate thinking about that rabbit hole. 😉

    Curious Wifi question

OK, thanks. I have set it up before, I just wasn't sure if you could assign different SSID's to each band/router. It would be a lot of work getting it done and then find out I had to use the same SSID's as the main router - it would all be for nothing then.

    Curious Wifi question

Probably a question I'll catch flack about, but is it possible to use 2 asus routers (RT-AX86U pro and RT-AC68Uv2) connected by cat to double network SSID's? I've used the ac68u before just to increase my ethernet connections and controlled it thru the AX86U. I had the wireless bands turned off...
