Seems you got the same issue as I did. If you disable and re-enable WIFI with the WIFI Button on the Router (front right side), it will work for some time again too. For me the only working solution was downgrade to version 388.7. Not one single drop since. Please share your solution :-)

Hi My Devices had no single drop after I have reverting back to the previous firmware 388.7. It's stable as it's used to be :-)

I downgraded to 388.7 last Friday. The problem has not occurred since then. There is no longer a single entry in the log saying "status: 0, reason: Unspecified reason (1), rssi:0".

Yes I think all started with 388.8 before it was rock stable. That's why I also did a factory reset but the problem is not solved. I guess it's downgrade to 388.7 too for me. Is WIFI stable for you again after downgrading?

Thank you will try those settings. But just to be clear. The issue is not clients dropping the wifi. The issue is the router stops the wifi signal. There is no wifi connection or wifi network sometimes. Clients not finding the SSID even if I scan for them. So its look like a wifi driver or...

I'm using Merlin for many year and never had problem with my settings.

My setup is rather simple. I use separate Bands and no AiMesh. Last factory reset was 2 weeks ago. The issues started a few weeks before. I will try to check the wireless log next time the problem occurs.

Since a few weeks, my Asus RT-AX88U sometimes drops WIFI. Usually it comes back, after reboot the router or press the wifi button twice to disable and enable it again, wifi clients see the wifi network again and connect. I already tried different merlin firmware. Also I did reset the router...
