You are correct. My AC68U got a 800 Mhz CPU, and my AC66U_B1 a 1000 MHz. The latter is now set up as router (which is actually how it was when I started with this in January). AiMesh still not working though. I might try again when a new firmware comes. But basically I am feed up with AiMesh...

Don't know if I've given up or not. I simply does not get it to work. My ac68u router does not find my ac66_b1. I've been trying since January. It actually did work once on 3.0.0.4.384_20287 firmware. But then I updated it and it stopped working. I've tried almost all firmware versions since...

I first tried upgrading both units, no luck. Then I swapped positions, meaning AC68U is the router now, and the AC66U_B1 as a node. Now all is ok (except the AC68U is too tall to stand where I put it :)) Coverage is much better now in general.

I will try the AC68U as router, the next time I am alone in the house. I see also there is a newer version of the firmware again. Guess I will try that too. I'll let you know when I have. I did try setting operation mode of the AC68U as router but no luck there either.

Still not working for me. I'm using a AC66U_B1 as router and want to use a AC68U as a node. (The AC68U does not fit in to the shelf where I need to have the router.) I'm using 3.0.0.4.384_20287 on both, however have not performed a factory reset on the AC66U_B1 since 10007 firmware. Any ideas...

I have a AC66U_B1 which I just installed the latest AiMesh firmware on (RT-AC68U_9.0.0.4_382_18943-g5cf14d5). The router works just fine with that FW, but the AiMesh icon does not apear on the front screen, and my AC68U (with same FW) is not able to detect it as a node. However if I click the...
