    Is this a router-side problem or a NAS-side problem?

Sorry to mention things that too simple, but are you absolutely positive your NAS has same IP as your forward table? (Is it manually assigned?)

    Is this a router-side problem or a NAS-side problem?

This is just a guess, but can you be sure that your ISP allows that port to go through to you? I can't VNC on a port I made up, so I had to pick another. I am sure the ISP thought the port was not a normally used port and blocked it. Try using a port number that you know your ISP doesn't block...

End of year 2017 development update

@RMerlin Would it work if you still did 90% of the work for a beta-type program for ASUS? I mean you write the code for the parts you want to improve and do better and submit them to ASUS and they add it on a separate release channel so they could connect it correctly to the stuff behind the...

    RT-N66U wont resolve web extension

My thought is the DNS works, since when you ping it, it gives you the IP address for the name. Next is what RMerlin said "Your WAN IP could be blacklisted by that site. Changing router causes your ISP to issue a different IP (IPs tend to be associated with the router's MAC), which would be why...

    RT-N66U wont resolve web extension

My first thought is check basic connectivity and then work your way up. On the different router, do a ping on my.is and get its IP address. Then on the Asus, do a ping on that IP (not the name, the IP address) and see what happens. If it works, then we know at least you can talk to that site...

Slow Website Loading/Browsing; fast speed/low ping on speedtest.net/fast.com

Okay, one more thing. What website(s) are you looking at so we can try and see if they are slow for everyone? So we can compare the delay you got and see if we get it also.

Slow Website Loading/Browsing; fast speed/low ping on speedtest.net/fast.com

I am not so webtiming smart. What did you use to time the loading of the website? Is it hard to use?

New Asus AC88U Bricked when installing Merlinwrt

I thought I saw a RT-AC88U firmware AND and AC3100 firmware. Aren't they the same thing? If now, what is the difference? https://amzn.com/B016EWKQAQ

    Help with Port Forwarding!

This is my opinion. Port 80 is a web server port. That means a computer (server) is setup behind your router to display a web page. you probably don't have that. FORWARDING is having equipment behind your router. OPENING is allowing your computer to talk to the internet. People have been saying...

    10 Gigabit switch

Not trying to bash, but the LGS552 has 52 GB ports. OMG that is a LOT of GB ports, but only has 2 10GB. 2 10GB ports don't give much to play with, compared to 8-12 that I mentioned. I might have miss-understood the problem, but I thought he was trying to connect multiple computers with a 10GB...

Client Status hard coded for 24-bit subnets?

I wanted to organize my network like you are describing, but almost every time I tried to use less than 255 in 3rd slot of mask (255.255.???.0) items got pissed (won't let me type it in, etc). So I moved to 172.16.???.??? and 255.255.252.0 It allows up to in 3rd slot in mask. I might even...
