    How to fix AX92U slow speeds on 2.4G & 5G bands?

    This was really anoying with a pair of AX92U:s, despite latest firmware on both units, I had to connect cable, set Ethernet mode (AiMesh / System settings / Ethernet backhaul or something), then the AiMesh was found and added, then with the cable still connected, uncheck the wired backhaul mode...

    Rt-ac5300 and rt-ax92u

    You are right, I've read that - and routers with different bands (or in this case a second 5GHz band with WiFi6 in the AX92 and WiFi5 in the AC5300) just skip WiFi6 for backhaul as it's only supported in one of the nodes? Like "greatest common denominator"...

    Just bought the dual RT-AX92U package to replace an old RT-AC66U (not even b1!) and it works great so far - really good throughput, nice form factor, easy to configure AiMesh.
