    Thank you. I have searched here and the wider internet, found this is not necessarily an uncommon issue, but no concrete solution. The attempt via the ASUS Router app was a last ditch attempt. I will go through the suggestions and see how it goes.

    OK thanks. I have tried a Hard Reset, it has not helped. As the RT-AC5300 has now been put on the ASUS EOL list, si I guess it is time to renew to a more modern ASUS product.
