Buying a router for better range. Need some suggestions.

I actually have 3 MuMimo clients currently, the Nexus 6p, Nexus 5X and a new Acer V15 Nitro. Obviously a moot point as the TP-Link C2600's MuMimo is broken. Perhaps I should just go back to my Asus AC66U if range is all the same. I guess there are limitations to 2.4 and 5.0ghz that have resulted...

Buying a router for better range. Need some suggestions.

Not trying to change the laws of physics, just trying to get a better throughput at higher attenuation. My router is already centrally placed, so no real benefit to moving it again. Thanks for the laugh, a cone of silence would come in handy at times.....

Buying a router for better range. Need some suggestions.

I am thinking about replacing an Asus AC66U router purely to get better range. Someone gave me a new TP Link C2600, but I'm not overly impressed, more so now that I know MU-MIMO is broken with this router, thanks to SMB. Can anyone recommend a router with better range than the AC66U? I was...

[Article] - MU-MIMO Retest: Six Routers Compared

Someone gave me a new C2600, perhaps a firmware update will improve performance? Either way range should be better than my older Asus AC 66U, even if MuMimo is screwed.

Perhaps I am being stupid...802.11ac questions

Thanks Tim, appreciate the follow up. So just to confirm if I connect my AC 1200 USB adapter to the AC 1750 router on the 5Ghz band it will be at 802.11ac protocol assuming that I have set the bandwidth at 80 and set the mode to auto (a/ac)... Cheers,

Perhaps I am being stupid...802.11ac questions

Thanks Mark. I just want to understand if I am connected using the 802.11ac protocol, or the 5ghz 802.11n protocol. New to this dual band stuff, especially when you factor in the fact that 5ghz band can work with 802.11n and 802,11ac protocols....

Perhaps I am being stupid...802.11ac questions

So last week I go out and buy an Asus RT-AC66U as my old Trendnet bit the dust. I have been extremely happy with its 2.45ghz n performance, getting faster, more consistent and better range. Yesterday I went out and purchased the matching USB-AC53 offering AC1200 or 867mbps on 5ghz and...
