Bug? Asus RT-AC86U running 386.2.6 - Total loss of 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi after some days

The solution is to install beefier fans on the AC86U before the thermals kill the board. They overheat.

Beta Asuswrt-Merlin 388.1 Beta is available for select models

This is usually just a problem with AI Mesh "pairing". Make sure the two routers are sitting right next to each other

failed to write /var/lib/misc/dnsmasq.leases: No space left on device (retry in 60s)

I have been unable to login to a remote AC86U running the latest Merlin firmware 386.7_2 for the past 3 weeks. What was weird though was I was able to access the remote network via OVPN installed on Merlin, but absolutely no access to the UI at 192.168.50.1 or router.asus.com Last night there...

    Hack my own Asus router?

What about harvesting browser data? Like logins, passwords, etc. Can they access this via the router?

    Hack my own Asus router?

Would I be able to see the VPN on my router VPN UI? And if so would they then be running scripts? Like how would they actually steal passwords etc?

    Hack my own Asus router?

Just curious what could actually be done if somebody hacked my router. I know they can see websites visited and servers connected to, but how much could they see and how easy would that be once they had admin credentials? Is it mostly a matter of running scripts via SSH?

    Hack my own Asus router?

I'm wondering how hackers are able to steal information once they get access to a router? Is there a way I can hack my own router to test my network security and see firsthand what sort of data a hacker could access on my network once they have access to my router? Running an AX88u

You need to FYI, the snow and ice knocked the power out overnight at the cabin... when it rebooted I was able to login to the router remotely again with no problems ;)

386.4 OpenVPN Certs now use SHA1

That totally makes sense. Done! Worked perfectly
