    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.9SF-HW

I'll play with that setting. Thanks for steering me in the right direction. exsmogger

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.9SF-HW

Voxel, A suggestion for your next release. Can the login timeout interval be lengthened? It's tiresome to have to keep logging back into the Orbi after only a couple of minutes of idle time. Thanks, exsmogger

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.9SF-HW

Same here. I've been using Voxel's latest firmware for over 2 weeks with no glitches. Most of my devices connect to the satellite router.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.9SF-HW

When I see something I don't recognize I disable to see what happens and then research. I couldn't find any info online, which is why I asked an expert :) Thanks very much for the links.

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.9SF-HW

In running the netstat command I noticed that the Orbi is listening on port 3333. The process running is potval, which is related to the potd daemon. I looked online and apparently it is normal for this port to be open on the LAN side in Netgear routers. Port 3333 is closed on the WAN side...

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.9SF-HW

I loaded it yesterday. Only issue I saw was I had to redo my ProFTP settings, but I have a copy of my proftpd.conf file saved so I can easily copy it back in. Thanks! exsmogger

    Voxel Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.1.9SF-HW

I loaded your latest firmware with Armor stripped out. Thanks for adding the option to disable circle. Happy holidays. exsmogger

    Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.0.43SF-HW

    There is an upagent log at /tmp/upagent.log. Here's a piece of mine: 2019-12-22 13:13:25 (12448):up_main.c:167 DEBUG: =====UnLOCK Done..===== 2019-12-22 13:13:25 (12448):up_main.c:189 DEBUG: Returning from XAgentStatus_cbHandler 2019-12-22 13:13:25 (12448):up_cdil.c:465...

    Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.0.43SF-HW

Yes, poor choice of words on my part. I added this, along with a few other NG sites to the block sites list. Thanks, much appreciated. I've also been looking into the xagent and upagent processes. Xagent was keeping a connection open to 52.26.86.12, which resolves to Amazon Web Services...

    Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.0.43SF-HW

I was able to kill the circled process. It turned out that killing the process that was listening (13686) didn't work as it would restart itself with a new PID. I don't know a lot about Linux, but I decided there had to be a parent process that was monitoring the process that was listening. I...

    Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.0.43SF-HW

The satellite should be upgraded first. It is assigned its own LAN address which is listed under Attached Devices in the GUI. Enter this address into your browser and use the same login as the main router. Just follow the prompts for a manual upgrade. When the satellite is finished...

    Custom firmware build for Orbi RBK50/RBK53 (RBR50, RBS50) v. 9.2.5.0.43SF-HW

Voxel, thanks very much for your efforts. I flashed my Orbi and satellite with your firmware and it all works great. I'm happy you activated SSH so I can leave Telnet turned off. I had some trouble getting Proftpd to work as it wouldn't respond on port 21. I changed it to port 2001 in the...
