    DS1515 vs DS1515+

    Transcoding for Plex is really best done by something with more HP than a home Synology. I have a Mac mini that does my Transcoding and the 1415+ duties are reserved to SABnzbd/ CouchPotato/Sick-Beard and other backup NAS stuff.

    Home network improvement suggestions - powerline or router

    I had a similar situation. My single router, rt-n66u, wasn't cutting it. At first I tried the PowerLine adapters. I tried all the top brands and they all created wireless interference that would shut my wifi network down for about a minute at random times. I think it all depends on your homes...
