    GT-AXE16000 Owner's Thread

OK I just got this router. And was wondering how is Merlin's firmware on it compared to stock? Any issues or missing features that I should know about if I switch to Merlin's firmware? I have always used Merlin's firmware in the past, but I know this is a fairly new router so was just unsure.

[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

OK not sure if I need to enable or disable something, but the WIFI on this router has been pretty spotty at best. My laptop keeps disconnecting on the 5 GHz band it can't seem to hold a connection stable. Router is in the bedroom and laptop in the kitchen. Is there a setting I should be using...

[ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000] Experiences & Discussion

OK I got the AX router today. And for some reason I can't log into the router. I am typing the following http://192.168.1.1 yet it doesn't load. Am I missing something here? EDIT: DUH! Never mind :-) Also do most people run with QOS enabled or do you leave it off? And why do you leave it on...

    Firmware Version?

I have the Asus RT-5300 running firmware version 384.4.2 dated 3-24-18 now I see a new version is posted dated 4-8-18 but the version number is 380.70 now to me that seems like a much older version number. Is that a mistake or am I just not seeing it correctly?

RT-5300 USB flash Drive Merlin Firmware

I have never been able to get a USB flash drive to work with the RT-5300. I installed the Merlin firmware, plug in my USB 3.0 thumb drive. My computer will see it, but when I go to access the files on it (Which I know there is) windows reports the drive empty. Is there a setting in the router...

So glad I found Merlin's Firmware

OK I've changed the channel on both 5GHZ bands. We'll see what happens. Also the Xbox units are pretty close to the router and only a wall really between them.

So glad I found Merlin's Firmware

OK I guess I spoke to soon. I have the issue once again with the 5 GHZ wireless on my Xbox One S. I would say at least 50% of the time the Xbox loses 5 GHZ connection, both actually. Yet the 2.4 GHZ is rock solid all the time. We have 3 Xbox One S's in my house and all 3 lose the 5 GHZ. It seems...

So glad I found Merlin's Firmware

I have the Asus Rt-5300. And since the last firmware update from Asus, my 5 ghz wireless has been horrible. It devices would not stay connected and if they did the speed was like dial up. The router is about 8 months old, I was just about to throw in the towel and get another router when I came...
