    Release ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.62.102_37838 (2025/04/23)

Yeah, that's not suprising me at all, my local site is also not listing the FW version in question...that is why I only rely on the global site. :) Edit: Meanwhile rolled back to 36911 (BE98), something is broken (again) with VLANs in this version.

    Release ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.62.102_37838 (2025/04/23)

Which FW version does your BQ16 have atm? I'm using the BE98 (FW 36911) as an AP and a BQ16 as a mesh node with MLO. In case of BQ16 any FW newer than 36801 breaks MLO backhaul (additionally, backhaul priority should be set to auto, otherwise it won't work). Edit: Just flashed 37838, MLO...

Release ASUS ZenWiFi BQ16 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_36801 (26/11/2024)

36801 was stable for almost 2 months. After updating to 36869 today the MLO functionality (in AiMesh at least) is broken, rolled back to previous version...

    Release ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_36852 - 2024/10/04

I'm using the device in AP mode. The "Hide SSID" feature is missing from the GUI for all wireless networks (...maybe because of the re-designed "Networks" tab...), so I had to set this parameter via terminal... At first, the GUI was noticeably slower, than before, but after configuring the...

    ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_34372 - 2024/04/23

No, there is no AiMesh in this case. The AX11000 is in media bridge mode and connected to the router wireless using the 5 GHz-2 band (so this is the "backhaul").

    ASUS GT-BE98 Firmware version 3.0.0.6.102_34372 - 2024/04/23

After some days of testing, I rolled back to 33001 again...using the latest FW 34372 or version 33570 my LAN speeds via Wi-Fi are capped around 800 Mbps (....and sometimes unstable). If at least one Wireguard client is active the situation is even worse. Using FW 33001 this problem is not...

GT-BE98 Force Guest Network To Use 5GHz-2 Radio

I assume it is a limitation of the stock firmware.

GT-BE98 Force Guest Network To Use 5GHz-2 Radio

You can switch between 2,4/5/6 GHz for the guest networks (for older FW only 2,4/5 GHz was possible if I remember well), but there is no option to switch between the two 5 GHz bands. Maybe if you are not using 5 GHz-1 you can disable the corresponding radio ("Professional" tab) and see if the...

    GT-BE98 WIFI 7

I have tested the new Firmware during last day. As I see, some known/reported bugs were really fixed, like hidden SSID for 6 GHz or parental control bug where internet restriction was not working at all, etc. There are also new features like Wi-Fi MLO, even for guest networks. However, a really...

    GT-BE98 WIFI 7

Thank you, I saw the updated changelog on the website as well. Good to see that these problems were addressed, but it is time to report newly observed ones. 😄 Maybe I will try the new FW after a factory reset again, because last time it was only a dirty update.

    GT-BE98 WIFI 7

Well, after some testing it turned out that LAN speed (wireless) is very unstable with the new firmware (33570) especially if at least one WireGuard client is active (?!). Sometimes, during e.g. copying bigger files between a local server (wired) and a wireless client, one CPU core is fully...
