100% cpu usage on core 1 of AC88U

Contact Asus support via the feedback link at the bottom. This may be a known issue. I was experiencing exactly this same issue and they were able to help.

    iOS vpn to asuswrt

When you say it needs to be recompiled; do the lines of code you provide above accomplish that or is it an additional step. Or is that something ASUS would have to do. Sorry for my ignorance.

I experience this same issue though I have all those settings already disabled.

    Constant error in log.

I was receiving this also. I contacted ASUS support and they helped me resolve the issue. As far as I know they are working on a new firmware to resolve this.

    iOS vpn to asuswrt

I have not tried IPSec. I have only used OpenVPN and that did not put the iPhone on the same subnet as the rest of the House.

    iOS vpn to asuswrt

Would like to be able to configure it to have the iPhone vpn into the network and be on the same subnet as the rest of the home network if possible. I don’t personally know what configurations that would take though.

    iOS vpn to asuswrt

I have used openwrt for vpn in the past. With this implementation, only tun style (layer 3) connections were available. This put your connected iPhone on a different subnet than the rest of your network. A tap based connection would have put the device on the same subnet as your home lan. Is...

    Remote access from wan

You bring up a great point. The benefits don’t warrant the risks.

    Remote access from wan

Thank you so much. Would there be any other method to get Alexa and/or ifttt support without exposing the router to remote login?
  15. F

    Remote access from wan

The latest firmware wants you to allow remote access from wan to enable certain features (Alexa, ifttt). Is this safe to do now that there is a let’s encrypt certificate? I’ve always stayed away from this as I don’t want to subject my network to any intrusion or risks. I would like to use these...
