List of MoCa 2.5 Devices [Updated 8/25/20]

Migrated to the BBcode table format so everything is searchable now. I planned to use "other devices" to list Moca devices besides bridges, but haven't found anything major that supports it yet. Even from the likes of Comcast and such. That is mostly true, but the Actiontec is an exception...

List of MoCa 2.5 Devices [Updated 8/25/20]

Hello everyone, I reached out to Teamly Digital about there unit with a 2.5Gbe port, and heard it should be back in stock in late September. :) Nice, I noticed something was different about them! I'll fix this when I get back in town, thanks. :)

No one told me the image was broken. Just updated it with Starlink and new prices.

Thanks, nice catch! I'm moving now, but I'll update the table when I get a chance.

    goCoax MoCA 2.5 adapter

Given that the chart shows pretty much the exact same (poor) speeds for all three points to a problem with the splitter or possibly interference on the incoming line. MoCa tends to work pretty well over old coax in my experience.

List of MoCa 2.5 Devices [Updated 8/25/20]

Yeah, looks like they're the same. Not sure how you found the OEM one for GoCoax. I thought they developed it, but you're right. OEM relationships can be strange.

List of MoCa 2.5 Devices [Updated 8/25/20]

Interesting point, I'll look into it. Thanks. And the Actiontec unit is no longer for OEMs only. It's on their website, and my post has a link to purchase from Amazon. :)

List of MoCa 2.5 Devices [Updated 8/25/20]

I decided to make a list of MoCa 2.5 devices, since more are coming onto the market now. I won't be reviewing them in this post though. Since this forum does not support tables natively, I am using an image with a list of numbered links corresponding with the right column of the table. Please PM...

    goCoax MoCA 2.5 adapter

I still have lots of questions about the different settings, but @gocoax has not really been responsive. Hope they survive the pandemic!

    MoCA 2.5 adapters?

Just an FYI, there are some other companies with MOCA 2.5 adapters now. inxtnd.com built on top of the MOCA standard and increased the number of devices to over 100 for enterprise use. But they only sell to dealers and stuff, which probably means $$$. Teamly Digital...

    MoCA 2.5 adapters?

I've never seen those VDSL units in a commercial environment, but I guess it would be a good solution too. Oh wow, that's impressive, but changes like the shift to the 5Ghz band, as well as higher client densities today would make that difficult at best. But I agree 1 AP per room is way...

    MoCA 2.5 adapters?

Has anyone heard from GoCoax? They never responded to my email and they don't seems to have a phone number. I think MoCa may be becoming a good option for hotels and such. Older hotels typically don't have Cat5e+ in each room, so the APs often end up in hallways, which is not ideal. And this...

    MoCA 2.5 adapters?

Anyone make sense of the web admin console? Seems to be written for engineers. Like one spot says "NPER or VLPER will be displayed for MoCA 2.5 nodes based on value of boot config parameter 'txpriorityper'". With no mention on how to change this. I want to learn more about this, but not enjoying...

    MOCA 2.0 splitter, slow speeds?

What is the advantage to using any of those instead of MoCa? :)

    MOCA 2.0 splitter, slow speeds?

If you know exactly where the splitter is, I would cut an access hole for it the size of a 2 gang mud-plate. so that way you can access it in the future if necessary. If you don't know where it's located, an electrician with the right tools and experience can probably get pretty close with a...
