[Release] FreshJR Adaptive QOS (Improvements / Custom Rules / and Inner workings)

So I suppose I can combine the ports for the first PC as "49670:49679, 58434:58559" If I run out of lines in the end as I add them for the second PC, how would I hard code them into the script? Is there a guide in this thread showing how modify the script?

Ok- I have what may be a stupid question. How do I add more lines in the section to port forward? As you can see, I am out of lines to add more ports and since we have several gamers in the house playing multiple games, we need more.

Not sure if this is a just me issue or not. Previous updates to ASUSWRT were uneventful. The router updated, the script resumed running. No Issues. However, on this last update RT-AC88U, 384.13, the script did not seem to reactivate. My bandwidth was again unlimited and the bufferbloat was...

I wonder. I have 300 mbps and buffer bloat was heinous without the script.

This is just good sense in general. I have all of my devices grouped and all of them on IP's in increments of 5. This makes rules easy, and also lets me see at a glance if anything new is on the network- if it ends in anything other than 0 or 5 it is new, which is often since I test and play...

I would be interested in how you killed your undead TV. I have 3 in my house.

What I was getting at is that the results he posted are likely with QOS off. If he set to 850, and did not wait the 5 minutes to test, they would look like that. Wait 5 minutes, then test at DSL Reports for Buffer Bloat and speed.

Your results show 916. Yet you are limiting to 850? Did you wait 5 minutes before testing? Each change disables QOS completely for around 5 minutes.

This may be a stupid question, but is there a delay in this script becoming active? I am trying to dial in my QOS Bandwidth limits and it seems like when I change a setting, QOS becomes disabled completely. I was set at 240 and 20 and was tweaking the UL bandwidth to 22 and now DSL Reports...

Thank you for all you do. Found this thread and followed the setup guide with no hiccups. Running on an RT-AC88U connected to an MB8600 on Docsis 3.1 and Bufferbloat is now in the A to A+ range. Will continue to test and check in as IPv6 is rolled in.

    RT-AC68U new firmware 3.0.0.4.384_20624-g14d2f02

To be clear: It is not hopeless and help is elsewhere. I never said it was hopeless- only more effort than I want on a main router I depend on daily. To be equally clear: no amount of research would have prevented this. My router was reconfigured long ago and it has updated flawlessly ever...

    RT-AC68U new firmware 3.0.0.4.384_20624-g14d2f02

I know, but the process of updating and the danger of it reverting again are just more hassle than I want on my main router. I may search for it to make the TM-1900 AI-Mesh to test AI Mesh off of the RT-AC88U....

    RT-AC68U new firmware 3.0.0.4.384_20624-g14d2f02

It's been a nice run for several years, but this last firmware reverted my TM-AC1900 back to stock. I have had ASUS seemingly forever from an AC56, to a 66, to a 1900/68U. So I am abandoning this router and investing in a new "real" Asus. Can't really complain about having gotten a free 68U...
