Support replied saying that they do something special for Netflix DNS. So suggested to use the primary VPN DNS for Netflix, and all others to do Unbound over VPN.
Guessing the solution is like what you mentioned and just have the AppleTV use dns over wan, and others to do Unbound over VPN. As...
Still working well on b4. At least for every site I check outside of the below.
One thing that is semi related to this… but Netflix refuses to resolve DNS when over WG. Always get SERVFAIL.
Curious if others see similar results using WG or OVPN for unbound. I’m using ProtonVPN.
Thanks for the effort on getting Unbound with WG working. Testing it now and it is running smoothly, will report back tomorrow.
Also having no issue with the guest network that is on the other WG connection using the dns lookups from unbound+wg
Awesome, that is working - thank you so much @SomeWhereOverTheRainBow! Guest network is running, system log is clean, and I see the queries in AGH on the guest network.
Very much appreciated.
Both commands return nothing. Confirmed that it’s still -3 in the logs.
The only command that returns is using “br1”, and it returns br54.

I removed the guest network to get back to a functional environment for my family. Let me know if should add it back - not sure if this will have different results if so.
#!/bin/sh
[ -x /jffs/addons/AdGuardHome.d/AdGuardHome.sh ] && /jffs/addons/AdGuardHome.d/AdGuardHome.sh dnsmasq-sdn $2
Removing the Guest Network, and re-installing AGH stops any error messages in the log, and AG works well.
So ... not sure if it's the re-install, or the additional scripts, that is doing it. But it seems to be related to the guest network / vlan.
Thank you again for all the help :)
Alright, there we go.
Updated DNS Director to point guest network at Router. Then installed ntpMerlin, and unbound. Then reinstalled AGH.
Now the System Log keeps repeating this - and the installer never finishes.

I really appreciate your help @SomeWhereOverTheRainBow. These are the steps I did this morning to repeat part of the behavior.
1) Factory Reset (clear all settings)
2) Setup router user/pass, main network (skip IOT/guest creation)
3) First login: setup guest network pro, router ssh, enable...
I attempted to test this out, and have now gotten myself stuck. Factory reset the router 3x this afternoon trying to get back to 1 guest network but cannot.
Every new attempt fires the dnsmasq fatal error/restart process. Have to force kill AdGuard to stop the router from freezing up...
