Release ASUS ZenWiFi XT8 Firmware version 3.0.0.4.388_24709 (2025/03/18)
TLDR v. sensitive to channel. I had issue with roaming between a mesh node and a router. It would only connect to the node. To reconnect to the router I had to toggle Wifi on the device. Tech Support had me 2.4G: 40 Mhz Channel {1, 7, 11} already auto on 1 so went to 7 and roaming worked...- Fred777

Asus XT8 Optimization Advice
I know this thread is old, but I came upon it looking today, so others might too. My XT8 version 1 HW mesh node would not reconnect after a power cycle, but always after a reset. Tech support told me: Go to its wireless settings and set the channel bandwidth for 2.4ghz to 40mhz and control...- Fred777
