Can't seem to find any info on hw version 2 of this device and if I should keep this v1 I just received from Amazon. Am I missing out on anything?

can confirm rock solid on AX86U Pro as well on this release

yeah current stock firmware is buggy as hell at least for me; currently on merlin for my ax86u pro as well and it's very stable

strangely enough I was able to stop this by changing my WAN DNS servers back to default: get the dns IP from your ISP and leaving the LAN DHCP servers to my adguard home server and haven't seen a hit back to dns.msftncsi.com in over 3 hours now

anyone else seeing the router constantly sending a request to dns.msftncsi.com every minute or so? network monitoring dns query and ping are off everywhere I checked...

No because you didn't read what I said. Yes the LEDs turn off but if you make a change say channel manual selection for a band the 5 GHz LED alone would pop back up while the rest stayed off. It's not a problem of turning them off via hardware button or web GUI but there is a software glitch...

Thanks - LED toggles off and on with the app but making a change in the web GUI was doing a weird glitch where the 5 Ghz only LED would pop back on and the rest remained off

Need update if channel selection from auto on 2.4 and/or 5 GHz stick or not Also need to know if LEDs turned off actually stay off when changes are made or if 5 ghz light turns back on

How about the manual channel selection issues I described above and turning LEDs completely off

just checking in how the fans have been running for you and dust build up etc.

Any suggestions for "ready made fans" for routers?

Update: rolled over to RMerlin's firmware and all my issues described above disappeared affirming those bugs must exist in the latest stock firmware

Doubt it's a system issue. Was able to reboot using safari on iOS and guess what now the channel selected for 5ghz has stuck but 2.4ghz now shows auto. No matter what the page refreshes and the value stays at auto. If I reboot the 2.4ghz will stick and the 5 becomes auto. This definitely seems...
