    AV1200 poor speed?

    I think that the speeds you're reporting are pretty typical for AV1200 adapters. I don't know if there is anything to be done about it.

    Another alternative would be to switch out your cable subscription for something like a Dish/Sling OTT package. Then you just put a Roku or other device in each room and stream your shows over the Internet.

    I wouldn't depend on it happening. Maybe you'll be surprised. But until you see a concrete announcement with some kind of release date, I'd plan on it not happening. It's a good practice for any new technology, but particularly something this niche, which isn't really designed for consumer use.

    If you have a three floor 3500 sqft home, rather than trying to cover everything with one router, I'd build in some space in your budget for some kind of distributed system (e.g. MoCA or a wireless extender)

    I've never used the USB ports-my understanding is that it doesn't work as a network server. But I've never tried to YMMV.
