    thanks for the help. factory flash did it. the only difference is that i no longer see a search domain of t-mobile.com for the local DNS server (router IP). I wonder where that is even set? I don't see it in any of the merlin configs so it must on one of the system config files.

    played = tried to plug in google DNS in router WAN GUI page. have tried both "connect to DNS server automatically" and manually set DNS server of 8.8.8.8 settings. I don't see options for DNS Filtering and Parental controls. Where are they located? edit: found those settings under...

    I don't recall. I followed the instructions to essentially root the ac-1900 back to factory setting and then flashed it with merlin per these instructions (https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=92917711&postcount=2778%2C) Don't think there was another step of factory reset afterwards...

    think i see what's going on, the search domain for 192.168.0.1 (router) is set to t-mobile.com.. could that be it?? question is how do i change that? it was a flashed tmobile ac1900 router

    I'm seeing an error below while trying to resolve to t-mobile.com or (www.t-mobile.com) on the router -> network tools-> nslookup. I've played with using comcast DNS server as well as the google DNS server of 8.8.8.8 with the same result. Is there something built into the router that's causing...
