We have a 1 TB drive in a mac Xserve 10.6 on a gigabit and fiber LAN and want to back up the 1 TB drive in a different building. Thus my thought of a NAS. And thus, no need for fancy NAS features.
Thoughts and recommendations?

We have an Xserve and want to back it up in another building on our LAN (physically separate enough, but on our fiber/GB LAN). Can anyone suggest a simple solution? I assume it would be a rsynch solution? We do not need media servers, etc. Just network back-up as simple as possible.
Thanks!

I see that this NAS has SSH. Is it possible to mount a drive via the net (user not on NAS LAN) using SSH or another process? Mac and PC?
Thanks!
