It's time to move to Netgear?

I switched Ubiquiti. No more ASUS and I hate Netgear GUI, or should I say, lack there of.

Ubiquity Unifi Security Gateway or EdgeRouter 4?

I recently purchased UniFi gear including the $140 USG router and it does 1gig no problem unless you turn on IPS and IDS.

    Goodbye ASUS, I give up.

Youtube channels Crosstalk Solutions and Lawrence Systems have several videos explaining UniFi stuff. Check em out. :)

    Goodbye ASUS, I give up.

The UniFi experience so far has been great. Everything is working like I always wanted the ASUS stuff to work. I have 1 SSID across 3 wireless access points and everything roams nicely and connects to either the 2.4ghz or 5ghz band appropriately . And I can see all of my devices! And the amount...

    Goodbye ASUS, I give up.

Not only is it drop out's that are frustrating but also the "features" the router is supposed to do like keeping track of devices bandwidth usage and stats. The traffic analyzer sometimes will stop working and the speed meter things stop working also. I have to toggle "App Analysis" button off...

    Goodbye ASUS, I give up.

I've been a fan of ASUS routers for quite some time. My first one was a N66U. I loved the interface and how I could put different firmwares on it. I was a big fan of Tomato for a couple years. I have bought every newer, bigger faster ASUS routers since then and currently have the AX88U. But as...

Where did you find 384.6375 firmware?

    [Experimental] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 test - AiMesh/DNSSEC through OpenSSL

I use auto channel for 2.4ghz, channel 36 for 5ghz, 160mhz off, HE frames off. I was able to update the 86U node with Merlins alpha 2 just fine. I've given up on the 68U as a node for now.

    [Experimental] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 test - AiMesh/DNSSEC through OpenSSL

The AC86 does, the AC68 did not.

    [Experimental] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 test - AiMesh/DNSSEC through OpenSSL

I still can't get my stuff working right. Got an AC86U today and it wouldn't join as a node via WIFI. It worked fine with an Ethernet cable and then seemed to be working after I unplugged the cable. But after taking it to the other building, just like the AC68U, no clients can connect or get...

    [Experimental] Asuswrt-Merlin 384.13 test - AiMesh/DNSSEC through OpenSSL

I've done all that. Like I said before, it won't mesh via WIFI. Even after factory resets with ASUS stock firmware on BOTH routers. I've ordered an AC86U to give that a try. Anyone else been successful with WIFI mesh between AX88 and AC68 ??
